Zero Waste Bar Soap

During production, it is common for a small drop of oil to remain in the bottle or for some soap to adhere to the mould. Nurme’s motto is to produce without waste and to maximise the use of all materials. This is how the zero waste soap was created, containing all remnants from the soap-making process. You can purchase the Zero Waste Bar Soap in larger quantities at once, so you don’t need to send multiple parcels, each time putting a burden on the environment for transportation. The parcel arrives in a small paper bag, which is perfect for storing the soap until it is fully used. The soap does not require special storage conditions and can keep for years, even decades, on a shelf or in a cupboard under normal household conditions. See also our other zero waste soaps HERE. All Nurme bar soaps are handmade using natural ingredients and the cold process method. To achieve the highest quality, we cure the bar soaps at the right temperature for a minimum of 30 days. During this time, the water initially added evaporates, the soap fully saponifies, becomes harder and longer-lasting. The longer the bar soap rests, the more it dries and loses weight, offering an experience for true natural cosmetics gourmets, much like mature aged cheese. The pH of Nurme soaps is approximately 7-8.
